Push Mobility, Abbotsford - Dealer Profile
https://www.pushmobility.com.au/
Push Mobility is an Australian Disability Equipment Provider and Distributor that focuses on supplying products that improve the lives of people living with disabilities. Established in 2013 by Shane Hryhorec, who is himself a wheelchair since 2007, Push Mobility aims to provide the world's best products and equipment to their customers.
Unsatisfied with his first wheelchair as well as feeling surprised that companies were providing equipment of an average standard, Shane was motivated to get into the industry and make a positive impact. Shane founded Push Mobility to offer quality equipment that will enable his customers to engage in the community, reach their full potential and achieve their goals, no matter how big or small. “We aim to offer products that people don’t just like but love. We also aim to make our products as affordable as possible finding ways to bring down the price without comprising on quality or service.”
Displaying a true passion for inclusion, Push Mobility, led by Shane, has been involved in beach access projects, helping make the Aussie outdoors more accessible to people with disabilities. “We work alongside a charity called Accessible Beaches Australia and we help them to make every beach accessible in Australia. We also help out the Wings for Life World Run to help raise money for spinal cord injury research.”
The point of difference at Push is that most of the team have lived experience living with a disability, either personally or within their own family. “This creates a passionate workplace culture with a greater desire to both understand and meet our clients’ needs. We appreciate the challenges faced day by day for people living with disabilities and recognise how critical equipment is in the quality of our lives and the lives of our customers,” says Shane.
With a focus on active mobility, their most popular products include the range of Küschall wheelchairs, Matrx seating solutions and Top End sports wheelchairs – all Invacare products.
When asked what keeps his team passionate about their work, Shane said, “We work with experts, industry partners and health care workers to deliver education days on a regular basis. These product development days give people working in prescription the opportunity to learn about new and exciting products from a wheelchair user’s perspective. This approach means we get a lot of repeat customers - the most recent highlight was when we were able to watch about 10 of our customers compete at the Tokyo Paralympics!”
As far as potential gaps in the industry, Shane says that he’s expecting “more 3D printed products come to the market soon, as the technology and equipment develops. We are excited for that to happen.”

PUSH MOBILITY
It is comforting to know that as a wheelchair user there are providers such as Push Mobility have people who have lived with a disability of some sort and therefore have the empathy and unique understanding of what challenges we face and can prescribe the product to suit.
Their choice to be distributors of quality products provided by Invacare also endorses their belief in the importance of quality and choice - two descriptions that fit Invacare well.
