Meet Nannapat Pariyapatsakul (aka Kate), Invacare's Accountant in Thailand

30 November 2020

Nannapat Pariyapatsakul (aka Kate) is our Thailand Accountant, and she would very much like people to know that Invacare is helping to make life’s experiences possible: “we really do!”

“I work as the Thailand Accountant. As part of my role, I have to make sure that the company is efficiently operating. My duties include studying accounting records, analysing data, creating financial reports and completing tax returns.”

Kate’s previous experience includes working for an accounting firm for 6 years. “That helped me understand the many facets of accounting much better, even compared to what I studied in University.” However, Kate says that role did not really fulfil her. “Almost everything that I learned was entirely about accounting, which did not cover what the business really did. But I then moved on to a medical device company as their Financial Accountant for almost 3 years, where I learned a lot about the industry and about working with people in many different divisions.”

Kate realised that she experiences great enjoyment working for an organisation that improves the lives of so many. “I have a passion for working with medical devices as Invacare’s products help people throughout the world live better lives. I’m very happy to be a part of this fantastic team and to be helping grow this company together.”

Kate, who grew up in the South of Thailand, completed her Bachelors in Accounting at Prince of Songkhla University in 2011, then went on to achieve her Masters of Accounting in 2015.

What really drives her is, “learning new things. It gives me immense pleasure and motivates me a great deal. I believe that learning should never stop and like to challenge myself every day and question myself how can I improve things?”

When not at work Kate likes to read, with Eat that Frog, As a Man Thinketh, and Secrets of the Millionaire Mind in her top three books. “I also really enjoy watching good movies in my spare time, particularly movies that can inspire me to become a better person. On the weekend I enjoy joining a meeting group where we exchange cultures, languages and make new friends.”
