Happy Mothers Day to all the mums in the Invacare community

08 May 2019

This Mother’s Day we are celebrating all the mums who make up the Invacare community – mums who are our clients, partners, and our staff. Caren Williams, Invacare Australia/New Zealand Accounts Receivable Officer and mum, tells us a little about her role and about being an "Invacare mum".

“Hello, I am Caren, I am a mum and have worked at Invacare for 8 years now. There are so many things I love about my job. I would say that dealing with customers both internal and externally is my favourite thing, but most importantly, the people that I work with each day is what I enjoy the most.

The most challenging part of my role is getting the customers to pay before the end of the month – a common Accounts Receivable issue the world over!

There are lots of mums who work at Invacare and I feel that it’s a great environment for working mums – they are very understanding, which is something any mum knows is important in a workplace and work culture.

I married my Husband Wayne 41 years ago (bearing in mind I was pretty much a child bride J) We have two wonderful grown-up children, Chantelle and Mitchell. Fingers crossed they make me a grandmother one day. In the meantime, I spoil my nephew Cooper who is six years old and pictured above in the karate dogi. I love him to bits!

On Mother’s Day, I will be spending time with my immediate and extended family, enjoying each others company and eating delicious food. With a bit of luck, I will get in some time for my favourite hobby – knitting.”
